Bumblebee Oscar Size (Astronotus crassipinnis)

It is mostly found in certain river systems in southern Brazil, Bolivia, and maybe Paraguay. It looks different from the wild form of its close cousin because it has a distinct yellow-and-black pattern and doesn't have the eye spots or ocelle that all wild Common Oscars have on their dorsal fins. Like its close relative, the Bumblebee Oscar is a big, fast-growing predatory fish that needs a big aquarium. Oscars have a reputation in the hobby for being aggressive, but they are actually pretty calm for a large cichlid. If you give them enough room, they will get along well with other fish of similar sizes. Feeding them a varied diet of high-quality ready-made and frozen foods will help them grow up with the best colors.
