The Chinese High Fin Banded Shark or Loach is a unique and generally temperate species of big growing Cyprinid that originated from areas of the Yangtze drainage in China but is currently aquacultured on a huge scale inside that nation. These algae grazers and herbivores like clean, well-oxygenated environments and congregate in loose schools. This fish is best suited for temperate outdoor ponds (either outdoor or indoor), and is often maintained alongside koi or goldfish as a stunning show fish in their own right as well as effective algae grazers.
